✨ An Extraordinary Gift for Sunshine Coast Hospice 🙏

On behalf of their membership, Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary board members present Coast Hospice with a $250,000 contribution towards the equipment of the first dedicated hospice on the lower Sunshine Coast.🏡

The Sunshine Coast Hospice Society and Vancouver Coastal Health are partnering to transform an existing Roberts Creek house into our community's first dedicated hospice. This facility will provide eight suites in a comfortable, home-like setting for residents in their final days, along with compassionate support to those who love them. The work on the Mossy Rock project has officially begun with Longman Developments and the new facility is expected to open in late 2026.

This past week, the project received a significant boost from a very generous gift from the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary!

“The Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary are pleased to donate $250,000.00 for the purchase of equipment requested by the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society. Our mandate is to enhance the quality of healthcare on the Sunshine Coast from Port Mellon to Egmont. Our members overwhelmingly voted to support this initiative that will give families a peaceful transition for their loved one. The Hagedorn and Longman Families are longtime community members and we understand the responsibility that comes with working on this land.

We want to enhance the natural beauty of this area while ensuring its legacy as a thriving, accessible, and sustainable space for generations to come.

Recently, you will see progress has been made with the necessary remediation and removal process of two deteriorating homes on the property. The removal process has involved thorough cleanup efforts to responsibly manage any debris and garbage.

We are working diligently to restore and enhance this beautiful piece of land by cleaning up the area. We aim to create a vibrant waterfront.

This is not about disrupting the community but about uplifting it. By cleaning up and responsibly transforming the area, we’re investing in the future of Gibsons and its people.

Longman Developments will be starting a new 33 unit condo development in Gibsons in the New Year. We are looking for detailed pricing proposals for all components of this development project. The scope includes, but is not limited to, foundation work, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, windows, doors, railings, interior painting etc.

If you are a supplier or sub trade that is interested in pricing a component of this work, please email us at [email protected] and we will send you all information on the project.

Please provide itemized pricing for labor, materials, and any associated costs. Include estimated timelines, terms, and any relevant conditions for your proposal. Submissions should account for applicable building codes, project specs, and required permits.
