Blades Construction recognizes the dedication Liam has for our team. His father told me that every night Liam keeps his Blades Construction hat beside his bed. The first thing he does every morning is put it on, and the last thing he does before going to bed is take it off.
This morning we spotted Liam riding his bike past our job site. We called him over, and after a quick chat, we surprised him with a brand-new Blades Construction hoodie.
Now you’ll probably see him rocking that hoodie in +30°C weather all summer long! 😂
Thanks for the support, Liam. It means a lot to all of us at Blades Construction. We’re proud to have such an awesome young fan!

A new social housing duplex is shaping up in Fort Smith!

This project is being delivered in partnership with the Fort Smith Metis Council through a negotiated contract that supports local employment and skills development.
✅ Framing is now complete
✅ Stick-built on site in Fort Smith
✅ Will replace two aging social housing units

Congratulations to Fort Smith Metis Council and local contractor Blades Construction Ltd. on achieving this significant project milestone.

Thank you to those who participated in early discussions and helped shape how this project is designed and delivered, including Tthebatthie Denesųłiné Nation, the The Town of Fort Smith, NT, and the Fort Smith Métis Council.

This work is part of Housing NWT’s ongoing efforts to renew housing across the territory and better serve communities.

Blades Construction has fully mobilized to site for the new GNWT Territorial Fire Centre project. We are proud to be a major subcontractor on this development, completing all concrete work, radon and waterproof membrane installation, along with the full exterior and interior framing scopes, plus additional work throughout the project.

We look forward to working alongside Wildstone Construction Group, the general contractor on this project, and are excited to be part of bringing this important facility to life.

It’s always great to see local contractors on site and involved in building important infrastructure for the North.

BIG CONGRATULATIONS!!

We're proud to congratulate two members of the Blades Construction team, Riley and Dawson, on successfully passing their Level 4 exam and Interprovincial Red Seal exam, officially earning their Journeyman Carpenter certification.

This is a huge accomplishment that reflects hard work, dedication, and commitment to the trade. We're thankful to have them as part of our team and look forward to seeing their continued success!

Today is Gord’s last day with Blades Construction, and we’d like to wish him a very happy, healthy and WELL-DESERVED retirement!

Gord has been with us since the very beginning of our business, and his hard work, reliability, and dedication helped lay the foundation for who we are today. He has been a valued member of our team, and his contributions over the years will not be forgotten.

Gord is also the kind of guy who’s always down for a good joke and a laugh, and he brought that easygoing spirit to the job site every day.

We are incredibly grateful for everything Gord has done for Blades Construction. If you see him around today, please take a moment to wish him a happy retirement!
