Fathers Day can be especially challenging for many families in the Oil & Gas industry, as countless fathers spend this day away from home and their loved ones.
Missing birthdays, holidays, milestones, and everyday moments is a sacrifice that comes with helping keep our country running.

For those working throughout the Canadian Resource sector, days weeks and sometimes months away from their children and families are part of the job.
While the distance is never easy, strong communication and support help keep families connected.

This Fathers Day, we want to recognize and thank all the fathers working away from home. Your dedication, hard work, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.
Thank you for everything you do to provide for your families and help keep Canada moving forward.

Happy Fathers Day to all the hardworking dads in the field. Stay safe and know you are appreciated.

At Macro, we encourage everyone to take time this month to learn about the lands on which we live and work. Today we have access to a wealth of knowledge right at our fingertips, and learning can begin with something as simple as a quick online search.
We also encourage you to connect with the Indigenous communities in and around your area. By listening, learning, and engaging with our local histories and cultures we can all gain a deeper understanding of the places we call home.

It is our privilege to work within the traditional territories of Indigenous Peoples, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from and build relationships with the communities whose stewardship of these lands continues today.

To all the moms on our team, the mothers, wives, and partners who support this industry behind the scenes thank you.

In our line of work, there are no fixed hours or guaranteed weekends. We work until the job is done, and that often means missing important moments and celebrations at home.

Today, we want to recognize the incredible women who keep everything together while we’re away. Your strength, patience, support, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.

To the mothers on the job and the ones supporting us from home: we love you, we appreciate you, and we are grateful for everything you do.

Today is your day. Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Macro.

Today we recognize Red Dress Day, also known as MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women). This crisis affects Indigenous communities across the world.

Indigenous women and girls are among the most vulnerable and disproportionately impacted by violence. It’s an uncomfortable truth but an important one we all need to face.

This issue reaches every community, on reservations, in rural areas, small towns, cities and our nations capitals. Many people know someone who is missing or has been taken too soon. The impact is widespread and deeply personal.

These women and girls were daughters, sisters, cousins, mothers, grandmothers, and partners. They are loved and they’re missed every single day.
