Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Interior Systems Mechanic (Steel Framer & Boarder) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel stud framing, boarding, and T-bar installation, and will take pride in producing top-quality work while maintaining a safe and professional jobsite.
This is a full-time position offering steady, year-round work and an opportunity to grow with a company that values skill, reliability, and respect.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Install steel stud framing according to code and project requirements
Hang drywall quickly, accurately, and efficiently
Install T-bar ceiling systems with precision and attention to layout details
Train and mentor apprentices in proper trade techniques
Maintain and update project safety documentation and checklists
Follow directions accurately and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Ensure all work meets Dunam Drywall’s standards for quality and safety
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in steel stud framing and drywall installation
Experience installing T-bar ceiling systems preferred
Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction practices
Proven ability to follow directions accurately and complete work to specification
Excellent time management and leadership skills
Reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player
Willingness to relocate to Fort St. John, BC
Compensation & Benefits
$35.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on experience
Full-time, year-round employment
Safety, tool, and clothing allowance after a 3-month probationary period
