June 2, 2026. Eugene Joseph Elementary School came for a visit and planted some trees. We have a special spot picked out where they can plant multiple years and see the improvement of each year’s planting. Today they planted Spruce, Lodge pole pine, and Douglas-fir. Margaret had the pleasure of planting a huckleberry seedling. Next year we get to see how they turned out. Thanks for coming out.

June 1, 2026. Koltyn MacGillivary Honeywell started working at Tanizul on June 1, 2021. Yesterday on June 1st Koltyn started his 6th year here at Tanizul Timber Ltd. Five years and a day since you joined our team and began making an immediate impact. Thank you for your continued dedication, hard work, and your shared contributions to all of our major milestones.". Koltyn is a graduate of the Forest Resource Technology program at College of New Caledonia in Prince George and started his career here.

May 17, 2026. Planting inspections. Our Spruce, Pine and Douglas-fir seedlings look great, Woodmere nursery did a fantastic job. They look even better planted in the ground thanks to Blue Collar Silviculture. Huckleberry plants are coming on the next shipment.

May 14, 2026. Tree Planting will be starting on May 16, 2026. We have 791,840 spring seedling, 365,000 summer seedlings for a total of 1,156,840 seedlings to be planted this year plus 400 Huckleberry plants. This is our first time planting huckleberries. Blue Collar Silviculture will be planting our seedling again this year.

May 12, 2026. Ellie Mai Prince joined our staff for the summer as a Forestry Assistant. Ellie completed her first year of bachelor of nursing at UNBC. She approached us for a summer job at the Tl’azt’en Education job fair in early April. Today May 13, 2026 she is off to the bush to learn and help out in Forestry. Ellie is the granddaughter of the late Woody Quewezance who worked here in the 1990s, and niece of the late Daniel Prince who also worked here. Welcome to our team Ellie.

May 4, 2026. Two of our seasonal workers started today. They will be cleaning up our road sides of garbage. Eugene Joseph School to Leo creek Forest Service Road turn off is done today. Then onto Leo and Tanizul FSR’s in the coming days. Please drive slow if you see these guys out there. They will have signs up where they are working. Less garbage from the school to Leo creek turnoff this year, that made it go faster.

April 29, 2026. A new field season is about to start and it is nice to see young workers returning from School or the off season. Welcome back Julia Haskell and Gabriel Joseph Jr. Both graduated in the last few years and are finding their place in the adult world, we are happy to have them here at Tanizul Timber Ltd. Day one Orientation. Tomorrow in the field doing forestry.
