As summer begins to wind down, some of our summer students are starting to make their way back to their studies or beginning their post-secondary journey. This time of year marks an important transition for a number of the young workers who have been part of our crews throughout the summer.
Young workers play an important role at Elevate Energy Services. Our work is physically demanding, often takes place in remote environments, and requires employees to adapt quickly to changing conditions, new equipment, safety expectations, and different types of work. Throughout the season, our students have consistently brought energy, adaptability, a willingness to learn, and new perspectives to our crews.
Employing young workers is also an opportunity that we take seriously. For many, a summer position is one of their first exposures to an industrial workplace and the expectations that come with it. As an employer, we have the opportunity to mentor, teach and set the standard for safety, work ethic, professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and leadership that they can carry into their future careers.
The value goes both ways. They gain practical experience and an understanding of what is expected in the workforce, while our company benefits from their enthusiasm, ideas, and willingness to take on new challenges.
We appreciate the contribution our summer students have made and wish those returning to school or beginning the next stage of their education success in the year ahead.
