This is only a few items the home inspector "missed".

"NMD90 cable must be protected from mechanical damage if it is installed at a height less than 1.5 m (approx. 5 feet) above the floor"

480V line side of disconnect to main transformer; main 200A disconnect off.

I've been having issues with the A phase of a 75kVA 3 phase transformer & when I was doing maintenance & a load test for excessive noise, the wire appeared to have a loose connection; whereas the black & blue were more taught. The expansion & contraction dur to loose connection, caused the lug screw to seize in the lug. I was able to remove the wire by wiggle back & forth by hand!! Luckily enough, at 9:30pm, my customer had a spare disconnect. Replaced the lug with the exact same out of a seperate device. Finished with some de-ox to slow the thermal expansion/contraction of the termination point.

When excessive vibration is present consistently in an area with electrical distribution/ devices, preventative maintenance should be a priority in your electrical system!! Anti-vibration pads under the mounting holes of a compressor & transformer can make a HUGE difference. Unfortunately, the damage is done to the coil of the transformer, but, the problem, with proper maintenance, should never occur again.

Nice enough weather today, I was able to cut a new recessed box for a GFCI @ the front of a duplex in Prarie Creek. The baseboard was pulled off inside (5"or 6" baseboard) & the dedicated circuit was pulled straight to the panel. Realized I couldn't go through the bottom of the panel; main breaker was at the bottom and we cannot pass wire through. Had to come through the top & luckily had a JB with only a transformer!!! I think this turned out perfect!!! Silicone applied to the back of the "in-box" because nobody likes water in their walls... Thankfully, the siding went back without breaking... that was probably the most difficult task!

Clean look; better resale. Don't have someone "slop" the job together with conduit. Do it right the first time!!!!

Call for your 2026 winter items (outside lights/ plugs, trench work, landscape lights, etc) before the snow falls and labor time increases 😄

Insulation of the wires was compromised inside. One of the most noticeable smells is plastic burning
