First Line Plumbing & HVAC Ltd. is looking for journeyman/women plumber/gasfitters to join our mission to operate the mechanical systems in over 70 local multi-family, commercial, light industrial, recreational and institutional facilities to their highest potential.
We’re looking for professionals who share our values and:
• can confidently, and accurately, assess plumbing and hydronic heating problems
• can create solutions and effectively communicate them to our client and admin team
• has a strong understanding of hydronic systems, gas equipment operation, and combustion analysis
• has a strong sense of responsibility for themselves, the client, and the business
can maintain a positive, professional, and respectful demeanour in strenuous or sensitive situations
First Line believes our clients should expect the best from our team and that our team should expect the best from us. The hourly team is compensated with:
• Industry leading wages
• Health and dental benefits
• $1000 health spending account
• Life, critical illness, and AD&D coverage
• 40 sick or personal hours off per year for long-term employees
• Sharing our Success - a profit sharing pool for long-term employees
Preferred consideration for this position will be given to candidates with a clean drivers abstract, their own basic tools (a list will be provided,) and an ability to demonstrate a good understanding of gas equipment, plumbing, and hydronic systems found in a common multi-family building. The nature of our business will require participation in an on-call rotation.
Most First Line employees choose to live in the Fort McMurray area where we enjoy the many facilities, outdoor activities, and community spirit but we may accommodate those who wish to contribute to our community “two-weeks at a time.”

This three storey-walk up in downtown Fort McMurray is ready for what winter has in store. Their is dialled-in!

Our first major boiler retrofit from 2019! Our pros took the time to get this room right; taking the initiative themselves to put painted metal up on the wall, paint the floors (hard to tell now,) and add lights to brighten up the room.

After sitting dormant for 18 months, this hotel was told by their restoration contractor that they'd have to replace this exchanger a week before the hottest heat wave we've ever seen in Fort McMurray, we knew we had to try something.

Fortunately, a lot of back-flushing and chemical cleaning saved this long-term client the downtime and the insurer thousands!
