Bathroom remodel 2 of 2 in this condo renovation. We replaced the old rusting tub with a new Acrylic bathtub, followed by waterproofing and large 16"x32" tiles around the tub walls and ceiling which minimizes grout joints. Extra time is spent laying out tiles before installing them to get a continuous flow of the veining whenever possible. 18"x18" matte black tiles were installed on the bathroom floor which accents the veining from the wall tiles. The tub/shower received a frameless roller glass door and we finished off the bathroom with a new vanity and quartz countertop.

Bathroom remodel 1 of 2 in this condo renovation. We updated this '89 built condo from the original finishes. We widened the shower opening and added a frameless glass door to make the shower feel larger and more open than before. A niche was added to hold shower products while maintaining a clean look.

Converted the old tub/shower tub combo into a beautiful walk in shower featuring a sleek fold up bench, 24" x 48" tiles on the shower walls and bathroom floor, 3" hexagonal tiles on the shower floor with a linear drain, and frameless roller glass doors. Your feet will always feel warm walking into this bathroom thanks to the heated floor system. The large backlit mirror makes for great additional lighting. Part 2 - We took this cramped kitchen and completely reconfigured the layout for a better workflow. The front hall closet was removed to enlarge the front entrance space and seamlessly flow into the open concept kitchen and living space. Textured ceilings were scraped and refinished smooth, along with new engineered hardwood and millwork installed throughout the main floor. Staircase was capped with stained red oak treads and painted risers along with new posts, handrails and metal pickets. Updated powder room and a new fireplace surround. Neutral wall colors were selected and paired with a statement feature wall in the living room. Let me know what you think about this transformation!

Main Bathroom Renovation in Georgetown.
I opened up the existing shower by removing the surrounding wall and bulkhead above to match the 9' bathroom ceiling height. By doing this and adding the glass roller doors for the new shower, the bathroom feels so much bigger! Who doesn't love a shower rain head?? 🚿
The existing plumbing vent was inside the wall I removed so it had to be relocated. On the floor I used an 8" hexagon tile with a matte finish and for the shower walls a 15"x30" polished porcelain tile and white quartz sills. Can you spot the floor vent? 👀

Today marks the 5 year anniversary of Spruce Hill Custom Renovations! Thank you to all of my clients who have trusted me with transforming their homes, subcontractors/tradesmen & tradeswomen who put in the hours on site to get the job done, suppliers and designers who help get the materials and finishes needed for the job, and last but not least, friends and family who have supported me throughout this journey.
Before I started up Spruce Hill, I was a college student eager to start working in this field and was doing small carpentry jobs out of my mom's old minivan. Since then, I've upgraded to a new pickup truck, and added a new trailer to the fleet!
