Nature’s Own is a landscape design and construction company that was founded by Steven Van Lochem NPD in 2001, and has been primarily serving the Niagara Region from its Pelham location. In 2012 we decided to go incorporated, and changed the company name to Nature’s Own Landscape & Nursery Ltd. Together the day to day business operations are now overseen by Steven & Ryan Van Lochem, and we strive

to maintain our reputable commitment to quality and our small business atmosphere that many of our customers have grown to love.

A new walkway and lush planting design completely transformed this front entrance, turning a concept into a stunning curb appeal upgrade.

This project was a lot of fun. And it actually started before the house even existed.

As they began building their dream home, these clients reached out with a vision for their property: elegant, modern farmhouse–inspired, and made for gathering.

There was no shortage of ideas here. The real challenge was pulling everything together into one cohesive outdoor space.

We worked closely with them to design and build a backyard that felt calm and welcoming. A pool for warm summer days. A fireplace for long evenings. Thoughtful lighting, a custom water feature, and smart planning that solved drainage challenges quietly and behind the scenes.

Years later, the space is still doing exactly what it was meant to do.

Now semi-retired, they love spending time outside. Relaxing by the pool, hosting family and friends, and making memories with their grandkids. What began as a total blank canvas has become the place everyone naturally gathers.
