Our Road Manager, Bob Colbear, wants you to know that he has written to both our Counsellor and the Mayor requesting that the area be declared a disaster area. This may assist the mayor in his current bid to get assistance for the residents from the Municipal Disaster Recovery Assistance Program.

For more information on this program you can read about it on the provinces’ website: https://www.ontario.ca/page/apply-disaster-recovery-assistance

Some of you may have missed this message from the Mayor a few days ago so have a watch now.

In this video he lets people know that the CoKL has applied to the province for disaster relief and will let people know when they hear back from the province.

If you happen to have a dock, or other items, end up on your property and you want to find their proper homes, can you take a photo and post it here so people can claim them.
Also what’s the best place to go hunting for anything that the river decided to take for a ride? Moorings?
