Currently Loving…
A little collection of the things making me happy lately.
The cozy chair that everyone has claimed, books I can’t put down, sunsets I can’t stop photographing, movie nights, little moments at home enjoying the last minutes before school starts.
Nothing fancy. Just the things I’m currently loving. ✨
What are you currently loving this week?

It’s National Dog Day! 🐾❤️

And how could I forget the ones responsible for the never-ending layer of dog hair? I swear I vacuum multiple times a day and somehow there’s ALWAYS more. These three definitely run the house… although, let’s be honest, the cat runs them.

Life with these three is a little louder, a little messier, and covered in a whole lot of dog hair—but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

I decided I would start a weekly series of the little things inspiring my days. There’s always something inspiring me, whether it’s a great book, a cozy outfit, a project at the print shop, or a product that’s making life easier. Here’s what’s currently filling my days this week.
Tell me one thing you’re loving right now—I need more recommendations!

The finishing touches are officially done on this room makeover, and I am OBSESSED with how cozy it feels now. 😍
This room had been the drop zone for… well, pretty much everything since we moved in 4 years ago. It was honestly a room I rarely even went into because my anxiety would hit the roof every time I saw all the “stuff.”
So I took it ALL out, gave the walls a fresh coat of paint with Sherwin-Williams Accessible Beige and added Sherwin-Williams Pewter Green to the far wall.
Almost everything in this room was already ours — the TV, surround sound, decor and Murphy bed. No big shopping spree required.
✨ Total makeover cost: $150
• Paint & supplies — $80
• Area rug — $70
From a room we barely used to a cozy little hangout space that can now be used for movie nights, reading, relaxing or just escaping the chaos for a bit. 🥰
Proof that sometimes you don’t need a whole lot of new things — you just need to clear out the old, give a space some intention and make it work for the way you actually live.

The redesign projects from last weekend weren’t quite finished…
The wallpaper I ordered for the office arrived, so my son was recruited to help me install it this morning. Let’s just say I’m pretty sure I didn’t convince him that wallpaper installation is a fun family activity. 😂 He has officially declared that he is never putting up wallpaper again.
We also hung our travel shelves with some new brackets, and the best part? The total cost to refresh this entire space was only $139!
Wallpaper $117
Shelf Brackets $22
Furniture $0 (already owned including custom desk I built)
Wooden Shelves $0 (already had)
Accessories $0
Paint - used from another project so technically free for this space

My husband and son were both away for the weekend, so naturally I decided it was the perfect time to redesign the den… and the office… and the spare room.
Things were moved. Walls were painted. Furniture was rearranged. And absolutely NO ONE was consulted.
They came home to the finished product. One said, “This is the best surprise ever!”
The other said, “WHERE’S MY STUFF?!” 😂
Guess who said what. 👀👇

Designers are predicting these kitchen hardware trends are about to be everywhere... and here’s my take.

🤎 Weathered finishes (think antique brass, oil-rubbed bronze, unlacquered brass)
✔️ Love. These finishes add warmth, depth, and only get better with age.
✨ Mixing metals
✔️ Yes... when it’s intentional. Mixing finishes can make a kitchen feel collected instead of straight out of a showroom. But there still needs to be a common thread tying it all together.
🎭 Statement hardware
✔️ Absolutely. Hardware really is the jewelry of the kitchen. A beautiful pull or k**b can completely change the personality of your cabinetry without a full renovation.
⚡️Beyond basic k**bs & pulls
✔️ Details like backplates, cupboard catches, and brass rails create that custom, furniture-quality look I love. It’s the little details that make a space feel special.
👋 Matte black & shiny chrome are taking a back seat
🤔 Here’s where I differ a little. I don’t think matte black is “out”—I think it’s become a classic in the right home. Trends come and go, but choosing hardware that complements your home’s style will always outlast what’s trending this year.

An extra day off for the long weekend 🤍
A slow morning with my coffee and cooler air than we’ve had in what feels like forever.
We’ve been obsessed with peaches lately over here, so we chopped up the juiciest ones for a summer dessert. Although, if I’m being honest, I think more peaches disappeared into little mouths than actually made it into the bowl. 🍑
What’s your favorite summer dessert?
