Come and visit us at West Bay Rock Gardens at 539 West Bay Terrace on Saturday, July 4, 2026 for the TCAC 7th annual Urban Arts Tour!
Wander through our gardens and take in the planted rock wall showcasing exquisite alpine plants and discover original art from local artists:
Karen Guilbault is a prolific artist with a variety of painting styles and techniques. She enjoys adding mixed media to her acrylic paintings, including pen and ink, figure drawings, hand-painted papers, and hand-carved block prints. Her themes always involve nature, often animals and birds. She often paints coastal landscapes including arbutus, clouds, and waves. Karen collects long pine needles in the fall and sews them as coils, which forms the walls of her unique baskets. She trims the edges with kelp, driftwood, and other natural fibers. The center is a painted stone, usually with a bird or animal depicted.
Erik Klassen does unique stained glass works of art. His subjects range from flowers to recreations of graphic art, such as characters from The Far Side comics. His use of colour and geometry create intriguing works with light and texture.
