I made the decision to send myself to the Fine Homebuilding Summit in Beverly Massachusetts this week and I met some really cool people doing some really cool things!!!

I learned a lot, made a lot of connections and took home a lot of insights. The list is long, however the one that really matters the most is that I am reminded that I too am a really cool person who does, will, and can do really cool things.

Thank you to the presenters who brought their knowledge to share. Thank you to my new bestie Randy for the lift to and from the airport. Thank you to Patrick for connecting me to so many radiant folks (and for saying really nice and completely unwarranted things about me during the final session of the event). Thanks to all the fellow attendees who brought conversation and insight between sessions. Thank you to the Hammerstone ladies, who met me with open arms. Lastly, thank you to Brian and everyone at FHB team for putting this awesome event on!!

Looking forward to seeing my many new friends continue to be successful and look forward to seeing everyone again some time soon :)

P.S. This Yeti mug is my new most prized possession and I look forward to showing it off at many project sites to come!

⚠️📢Spring time is the perfect time to check your vents for damage and function!📢⚠️

🐦A broken vent cover is prime real estate for unwanted critters and air flow to enter your home! 🚨

Properly functioning vent covers should open when your dryer or fan is running, and close on their own when the unit is off. Be sure to check the sealant around the outside as well, it doesn’t last forever and should be replaced *before* you have a leak 🧠

I have been really enjoying my time back on the tools on an out of town project this week helping put the roof on this duplex at my full time job. It's an amazing, beautiful place right in the heart of nature and I have very limited cell signal and apologize if I haven't gotten back to you because of it! Back next weekend :)

Happy long weekend to those who are using the extra time to build their brand like me!! 😁 I did a small project for my client's rental property today. I replaced a faulty hood fan and a few expired smoke detectors!

When is the last time you tested your smoke detectors? Don't forget to test them monthly and replace them every 10 years :) 🔥🧯

Before and after front entry spruce up ✨️

A fun little project trying my hand at aluminum soffit for the first time. Some of the challenges were making sure the water was deflected properly without damaging the existing stucco (no drip edge originally) and also not being able to remove the existing plywood since the stucco had been installed around it. I learned a lot and my shoulders are SORE!!
