⚠️📢Spring time is the perfect time to check your vents for damage and function!📢⚠️

🐦A broken vent cover is prime real estate for unwanted critters and air flow to enter your home! 🚨

Properly functioning vent covers should open when your dryer or fan is running, and close on their own when the unit is off. Be sure to check the sealant around the outside as well, it doesn’t last forever and should be replaced *before* you have a leak 🧠

I have been really enjoying my time back on the tools on an out of town project this week helping put the roof on this duplex at my full time job. It's an amazing, beautiful place right in the heart of nature and I have very limited cell signal and apologize if I haven't gotten back to you because of it! Back next weekend :)

Happy long weekend to those who are using the extra time to build their brand like me!! 😁 I did a small project for my client's rental property today. I replaced a faulty hood fan and a few expired smoke detectors!

When is the last time you tested your smoke detectors? Don't forget to test them monthly and replace them every 10 years :) 🔥🧯

Before and after front entry spruce up ✨️

A fun little project trying my hand at aluminum soffit for the first time. Some of the challenges were making sure the water was deflected properly without damaging the existing stucco (no drip edge originally) and also not being able to remove the existing plywood since the stucco had been installed around it. I learned a lot and my shoulders are SORE!!

I finished the backsplash in the kitchen a few weeks ago and am incredibly happy with how it turned out!!!!

Big thanks to Arlen Arlie's Contracting for saving my bacon with a bit of leftover mortar for my glass mosaic tiles. And big thanks to Randy at Dealer's Direct Flooring Co here in town for always having what I need :)

Tiles are from a trip down to Mexico, quite the story of how I hunted those down but I finally got them from the local supplier in Cabo San Lucas for a great price even while their warehouse was under renovation ;) thank you to Cobalto Tiles for being so wonderful and dealing with my VERY broken Canadian English-Spanish!!!!!
