Borderland Quarter Horse Association BQHA The Borderland Quarter Horse Association is the Rainy River District’s branch of The North Superior Quarter Horse Association (NSQHA).

The Borderland Quarter Horse Association is a small club, comprised mainly of friends and families, who work hard each year to organize and hold a 3-day, AQHA-approved show in Emo, ON. This branch follows the ideologies of NSQHA. The NSQHA was formed to encourage participation in all the shows held within the area known as Northwestern Ontario/Northern Minnesota. All exhibitors are eligible for me

mbership and with participation in the sanctioned shows, will earn points toward the year end awards.

🐴🌟 Join Us for the 2026 Emo Fair Horse Show! 🌟🐴

The 126th Emo Fair Horse Show welcomes miniatures, ponies, light horses, and draft horses for two exciting days of competition, fun, and great sportsmanship!

📅 Friday, August 14 – Starts at 9:00 a.m.

Halter, Showmanship, Driving, Trail, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, English Pleasure, English Equitation, Skudahoe, Quadrangle, Ribbon Race.

📅 Saturday, August 15 – Starts at 8:00 a.m.

Keyhole, Flag, Pole Bending, Egg & Spoon, Costume Class, Best Dress, Groomed and Mannered Team, Barrels, Jumping Figure 8, Bat Race, Quad Dash, Mystery Class.

🐎 Don't forget to reserve your horse stalls in advance!

Unfortunately we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our show this year.

But don’t worry, we plan to be back again next year. Watch for future communication, as we will be seeking suggestions from all our friends and competitors.

For those who have forwarded stall deposits, we will be sending emails shortly to explain returns.

Hi everyone! Just a reminder to please book your stall if you haven't already. We are looking forward to having another show in Emo this year, but are needing updated numbers to determine if it is still feasible or not.
