We have incredible team members as well as incredible customers. We're looking forward to starting Farmer Tim's framing next week! In the meantime, the foreman's new son is learning how to review drawings. 😊
Sometimes it’s the people behind a project that leave the biggest impression.
Next week, Austin will be the foreman leading the framing of our new dairy barn. We haven’t even met yet, but I’ve already learned something about the kind of person he is.
He and his wife have just welcomed a brand-new baby into the world. Most people would have every excuse to put work aside for a few days. Yet there he was, reviewing our barn plans and preparing for the job ahead. That says something about his character, his pride in his work, and his commitment to the people who have trusted him with this project.
As exciting as it is to watch our dream barn take shape, I’ve realized the greatest part of this journey hasn’t just been the concrete, the drawings, or the buildings themselves. It’s been the people.
Every contractor, engineer, consultant, and builder we’ve worked with has brought more than just their skills. They’ve brought dedication, encouragement, and a genuine desire to see this project succeed. They’ve treated our barn as though it matters to them too.
In many ways, it feels like they’ve become part of the Mayhaven Farms family. They don’t just show up to do a job—they’ve invested themselves in helping build something that will serve our family, our cows, and hopefully future generations.
Austin, congratulations to you and your wife on your beautiful new baby. I hope you both find a little time to soak in these precious first days together. We look forward to meeting you next week and watching this next chapter of our barn rise—one wall, one truss, and one hardworking person at a time.
Here’s to good people building more than just barns. They’re building trust, friendships, and a future. 🚜❤️🐄
