Fall property care is about more than leaves! Alberta has a way of turning “I’ll get to that later” into “WINTER IS HERE?!” 😂❄️

🍁 A few things worth checking before the seasons change:
* 🌱 Yards & cleanups: Leaves, branches and debris are much easier to take care of before winter tucks them away under a blanket of snow! 🍂
* 💧 Gutters & drainage: Keep gutters clear and make sure downspouts direct water away from your home. Water needs somewhere to go…and your foundation shouldn’t be its first choice! 😅😉
* 🚶 Walkways & entrances: Wet leaves can be surprisingly slippery, and when Alberta temperatures drop, a simple walkway can turn into a little skating rink of its own! 🧊
* ❄️ Snow & ice: Having a plan for driveways, walkways and entrances helps keep your property accessible when winter arrives. Because Alberta rarely waits for us to be ready! 😂

The takeaway? Good property care means looking at the whole picture, not just the mess that’s easiest to see. Different properties have different needs, and a little preparation can go a long way! 🏡

Well… that was fun.

One year down. 😂🌾

And now… back to what we do.

All Four Seasons? ✅🌾

One whole year of Four Seasons Works!!!

One year ago today… Four Seasons Works officially began. 🥹

And honestly?! Looking back at October 1, 2025, it’s kind of wild to think about how much can happen in one year.

We started part-time with some ideas, a whole lot of hope, and a healthy amount of, “Okay… let’s see where this goes.” 😂 We knew we were willing to work hard, learn, and build something of our own. What we didn’t know was just how quickly we’d have to learn.

Because WOW… things change FAST!!! Plans change. Jobs change. Schedules change. Opportunities show up. Things happen that were absolutely not on the mental calendar. So you adjust. You figure it out. You take the next step. Sometimes you know what you’re doing… and sometimes you’re figuring out what the heck you’re doing as you go. 😅

But one of the best parts of this year has been the people. We’ve met a LOT of really good ones. 🤎 A phone call about a property can turn into a conversation, then a connection, then a relationship. You show up to do a job and end up getting to know the person behind the property.

That matters to us. We want people to know us as honest, hardworking people who care about doing good work, keeping our word, and treating others well.

Then came our first confirmed contract.

And THAT was a BIG deal!!! 😂 Because suddenly, we could say, We actually have a business. An idea had become something real.

We’re proud of that. Not because the year was perfect. It definitely wasn’t. 😂 And not because we have everything figured out. We definitely don’t. We’re proud because we showed up. Through the good days and hard days, the busy seasons and slower ones, the unexpected turns and the moments where we had to rethink things and keep going.

And through all of it… we kept trusting God.

We never had the whole road mapped out. We still don’t. A lot of this year has simply been, “Alright, Lord… here we go,” and taking the next step we believe He’s put in front of us. 🙏

Then April brought another BIG step as we moved further into doing this full-time. That changed a lot, too.

But we can celebrate April when April comes. 😂 Because today is October 1.

Today is about the beginning!!!

Before the full-time leap. Before everything we learned. Before we knew what Four Seasons Works would become… there was a decision to start. There was faith. There was work.

And one whole year later… here we are. 🥹🌾

To everyone who trusted us with your property, called, messaged, booked a job, recommended us, encouraged us, shared our posts, followed along, or simply watched this thing grow… thank you. 🤎 Seriously. You’ve been part of making this real.

Going into Year Two, we don’t know exactly what it’s going to look like, and honestly, after Year One, we’re pretty okay with that. 😂 We’re hoping for more good work, more people to serve, more connections, a growing client list, a growing team, and, Lord willing, another year of building this thing together.

We don’t know what’s coming. But we’re here. We’re working. We’re learning. We’re trusting God. And we’re pretty excited to see what happens next!!! 👀

Okay… there’s something about today that feels a little different. 👀😮

There’s a lot we could say. A lot we could be proud of. A LOT we’re grateful for. 🙏

And honestly… we’re pretty excited about what’s still coming! 😂

For today? We’re still going on with our regularly scheduled program; serving our neighbors the best way we can and taking pride in our work! 🤝🪏🍂

One last roll-out before sod season calls it a year! 🌱

We wrapped up our final sodding job of the season this week, and this before-and-after was way too satisfying not to share. 👏

What started as bare ground is now a fresh, finished lawn ready to settle in, establish, and do its thing. 🌿✨

And with that, sod is officially off our list until next year… but Four Seasons Works definitely isn’t packing up yet! 💪
