We’re well into the year and back in the swing of things!

Battle Lake Design Group is excited to keep designing smart, energy-efficient spaces alongside clients and partners who value good design as much as we do.

For more than 20 years, we’ve been proud to create thoughtful, people-focused design. That work continues with the Mikisew Cree Cultural Spaces project, now under construction for the Mikisew Cree First Nation. The facility will include an elders’ circle meeting space and offices to help support programming and long-term community capacity.

This is still the kind of work that reminds us why we do what we do.

A house with a view! ⛰

We finally had the chance to view our client's recently-completed home in Revelstoke, B.C. To say it's a stunner puts it mildly!

Trying to build something in the midst of a building boom was a challenge. We worked closely with our clients and the builder to tweak the design several times to bring the project within budget while not sacrificing the design, which includes natural finishes, vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows in an energy-efficient envelope.

The home is a hybrid of sorts, with custom fir timber-framing and fire-resistant magnesium structural insulated panels in the public areas, and more conventional truss framing over the private areas. Custom wood windows, smart siding choices and attention to detail brought together this three bedroom home with stunning views of the Monashee Mountains.

We are extremely proud and excited to share with you a recently completed custom-designed home built by Parallel Vision Contracting in Revelstoke, B.C.

With panoramic views of the Monashee Mountains, this one-of-a-kind energy-efficient home features fir post-and-beam architecture, natural finishes, and an attention to detail rare for homes under 1800 square feet.
