There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the team at Ryan’s Concrete Pumping as a Concrete Pump Truck Operator. This role will be responsible to safely drive and operate a concrete pump truck and placing boom equipment, while ensuring that all safety measures and precautions are taken into account. Ryan’s Concrete Pumping is currently hiring Full Time, Concrete Pump Truck Operator for the Edmonton, Alberta region WITH 1-2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. The starting wage for an Operator (in the field, for an experienced operator) $30 – $35/hour with the opportunity for overtime. Ryan’s Concrete Pumping offers a comprehensive benefit package that is available after successful probation period. This is a year round and full time position.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Drive the pump in a safe and conscientious manner to the job site and back to the yard.
Operate the pump in a safe and conscientious manner, set up system, and clean out the pump after the job.
Light repair of pumps: Some maintenance is required. Know the pump well enough to recognize problems and report them.
Customer relations: Represent the Company through efficient work and courteous service.
Keep unit clean: Keep the pump and truck washed and free of concrete and grease. Keep system free of concrete.
Shop & Yard: Return system after use to appropriate location in Shop. Keep Shop neat and orderly.
Paperwork: Complete and submit pump inspection forms, job ticket and maintenance forms.
Keep an accurate timecard of time worked.
Perform a variety of tasks and operate other equipment as needed or required when not pumping concrete.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
1-2 years of Concrete Pump Truck Experience
Must be Physically Fit
Available to work long hours which include working Monday through Saturday. Some work may be required on Canadian Statutory Holidays
Work outdoors in all conditions and temperatures
Comfortable operating in and working around large equipment and construction sites
Possible Drug test depending on Job site requirements
Long work hours start as early as 5am
Possible Night Shifts as well
Due to the industry there is Lots of job changes last minute with regards to time changes and cancellations or rebooking.
No set schedule
May know your schedule the day before working
Must have a “free” schedule with minimal other commitments because of last minute scheduling
Most jobs labor intensive Must Be Physically fit
Certifications needed:
Minimum Class 3Q Drivers license
ACSA – CSTS online course completion and work around concrete pump truck completion
First Aid is not needed but preferred
Requirements:

• Clean Drivers Abstract
• Class 3Q Driver’s License

Experience:
• 1-2 years’ of Concrete Pumping
• Manual Labor/Heavy Equipment Operator/Hydraulics experience is considered an asset
