Casement or Slider Windows: Which One Is Right for Your Home?

Choosing a window style is not only about appearance. It can also affect ventilation, comfort, ease of use, and how well your windows perform during an Alberta winter.

Is Your Home Ready for Another Alberta Winter?

Summer is the easiest time to forget about window problems. Then the first cold days arrive — and suddenly you notice the drafts, cold rooms and condensation again.

Here are a few signs your windows may not be ready for another Alberta winter:

Drafts around the window
Feeling cold air near a closed window can point to worn seals, gaps around the frame, or installation issues that allow outside air into your home.

Condensation or fog between the panes
Moisture trapped between glass panes can be a sign that the sealed glass unit has failed and is no longer performing as intended.
