Too many think that Thanksgiving has the same meaning for The United States as for Canada; and even though both have similarities among them, they don't really celebrate the same at all.
Many others may think that the Thanksgiving celebration is just a copy of The United States,but if you google about it, a bunch of information will pop up.
There are so many versions
about the Thanksgiving celebration in Canada. But for
G&C this is our favourite one:
A guy Named Martin Frobisher went looking for The Northwest Passage (a seagoing connection which plugs the Atlantic into the pacific ocean) located between Europe and Asia.
The crossing was long and exhausting, but finally he arrived to Newfoundland where planted the seeds that he brought from Europe.

When he harvested he
never imagined his crop could be so abundant, and with joy he decided to make a celebration to thank God for his arrival to this land and for such a good crop.
This Celebration was shared with the natives from this region.
Even though we don't really know for sure the origin of this celebration, with no doubt it is a great and unique opportunity to give thanks, despite religion or believes, languages or roots.
Canada is a land of abundance, prosperity and big opportunities; it is a nation about liberty and hope.
For us, as immigrants, it's a time to be thankful for what we have, for the many opportunities Canada has offered and is still offering to millions of families by yielding new opportunities and a new paths to walk.
