The Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta is the voice of the electrical industry in Alberta. courses

ECAA is an Association who's membership consists of:

•Electrical Contractors (member firms), employing both union and non-union labor
•Associate Members, meaning any person who is actively engaged in the activities associated with electrical contracting
•Honorary Members who have received special nomination in appreciation for distinguished services to or in the interests of the Association
•

Lifetime Members who are retired persons from the Association and meet the merit guidelines established by the Nominating Committee
•P.E.C. or Professional Electrical Contractors, those persons who are master electricians taking out electrical permits on behalf of a person engaged in electrical contracting and successfully completed the course work and examinations required by the Professional Education Program
•P.E.C. Student Membership, those persons who made application and are enrolled in the P.E.C.

The ECAA is offering an Alberta specific Fire Alarm Training Course in Calgary.

This 36-hour in-person course is designed for electricians with out-of-province credentials, Alberta electricians certified prior to 1991, or those looking for a refresher.

Successful completion allows participants to apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the maintenance of fire alarm systems.

Preparing for the Alberta Master Electrician Exam?

The ECAA's Master Electrician Prep Course combines online learning with in-person instruction to help participants prepare with confidence. The course covers the 2024 Canadian Electrical Code through interactive online sessions, self-study modules, and a final in-person exam and review at the ECAA office in Edmonton.

Tuition includes a new 2024 CEC book and a $150 credit toward an ECAA PEC Course.
