We first met Eileen in our oxyfuel cutting and welding class that we deliver with our partners Alberta Construction Training Institute and MCG Careers Inc. Eileen showed a passion for welding and continued to develop her skills in our weld shop. She successfully achieved multiple CWB certifications and recently landed a job as a welding apprentice in a local fab shop.
Congratulations Eileen, you have a bright future in the skilled trades.

The reinforcing Ironworker gladiator class is now complete. Students now have hand skills and experience building mats, beams columns, walls and other reinforcing structures. Thank to our partners Oil Sands Alliance for helping make this class a success. Look for these new apprentices on a work site soon.

Congratulations to Brian Thornhill on 25 Years with Supreme Steel!

Brian started with Supreme Steel in 2001 at the Diavik Diamond Mine as part of the cladding crew. Since then, he has worked on major projects across Canada, including The Bow in Calgary, while taking on everything from ironwork and sheeting to supervision and challenging project wrap-ups.

Brian has been a great supervisor, coworker, and friend to many over the past 25 years. We look forward to the years ahead.

We are proud to partner with BlackRock on their Future Builders initiative, as part of a CAD$15 million commitment through the BlackRock Foundation. The grant will help address Canada's growing demand for skilled trades workers. The investment will strengthen Ironworker training programs and expand opportunities for individuals seeking careers in the construction industry.

Come down to the Beaumont rec center to support the Chris Letendre Memorial Lacrosse Tournament. This is a great event that supports mental health. Rumor has it that Rob Letendre will be dressing and on the court for games on Saturday. Come down cheer him on and show support.
