A fresh exterior for an established church in Leduc, Alberta.

Natural stone, two textures — one custom feature wall.

For this interior project, Met Exteriors combined travertine thin brick with travertine ledger panels and matching ledger corners to create depth, texture, and a seamless transition between the different stone profiles.

The combination brings the natural variation of travertine indoors while giving the feature wall a distinctive architectural finish.

A small weep-hole failure caused major hidden water damage.

After completing controlled water testing, we confirmed that water entering the window drainage system was leaking directly into the wall instead of draining safely to the exterior.

Once the stucco was removed, the extent of the concealed damage became visible. The wood sheathing and framing around the window had deteriorated from repeated water exposure.

This project shows why proper water testing and building-envelope investigation are essential. The visible stucco is not always the source of a leak—the actual problem may be hidden behind the exterior finish.
