What a project to be a part of! Amazing to see the Freedom Mobile Arch at the PNE come to life. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this incredible venue a reality!

Tonight is opening night at the Freedom Mobile Arch at the PNE! This is a brand new, state-of-the-art outdoor concert venue with a capacity of about 10,000.

Our crews worked tirelessly on this project including setting the long-span structural steel for the signature arch and installing the mass timber. The amphitheatre is the largest free-span timber structure in North America!

This project is a huge credit to our members. Precision planning, clean ex*****on - ironwork done right.

Congratulations to all 97 members who built this facility!

Throwback Thursday to earlier this year on the Yellowhead Trail Freeway Conversion project in Edmonton. 🚧 As part of this $1+ billion City of Edmonton infrastructure project, A&H Steel is supporting the transformation of Yellowhead Trail into a free-flowing freeway targeted for completion in 2028.
From January to February 2026, our team completed the supply and installation of approximately 27 tonnes of stainless steel and Grade 400W reinforcing steel for the 127 Street bridge diaphragms.
Next up: deck rebar installation. 👀
We’re looking forward to continuing the progress and sharing more updates as this landmark project continues to take shape.

Ellerslie Road Expansion – Whitemud Creek Bridge | Edmonton, AB​
From January to March 2026, our team installed approximately 11 tonnes of Grade 400W rebar in the abutment seats and pier caps, helping build a strong foundation for this important infrastructure project.​

Steel Spotlight - Royal Columbian Hospital Phase 2 🏗️

The RCH Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower was one of the largest raft slab pours in the Lower Mainland, with roughly 2,400 cubic metres of concrete placed, nearly the volume of an Olympic sized swimming pool. This was high intensity, high volume slab work, with the tower featuring eight cores, including a main elevator core that alone required 700 cubic metres of concrete.

At the front of the project, the architectural V columns brought an added level of complexity, standing 65 feet tall with a 20% slope.

Now nearing full completion, the 10 storey state of the art facility is scheduled to open later this year. 🚧
