The completion of the Bella Coola Centennial Pool also marked the donation of our first Little Library.

Driven by a desire to leave something meaningful behind, our team created a resource that would continue to encourage reading and community connection. Employees from across our Vancouver Division came together to source materials, build, paint, and install a Little Library for the residents of Bella Coola to enjoy.

Going a step further, the team created a custom "Did You Know?" plaque featuring facts about the new pool and donated books from their own collections to help fill the shelves. As part of Chandos Gives, this initiative reflects our commitment to strengthening the communities we build in.

A major piece of the Fort St. John Reservoir Replacement Project is officially in place.

Our civil team recently completed the installation of a 45,000 lb, 23 ft tall prefabricated aluminum dome roof onto the reservoir's pre-assembled steel tank structure. Manufactured in Madrid, Spain, the dome's installation required extensive lift planning, engineering coordination, and a carefully executed crane operation.

To ensure a safe and efficient lift, the team increased the planned crane size from 270 tonnes to 290 tonnes and modified the engineered crane pad to accommodate the larger equipment. Working closely with WorkSafeBC, our internal safety team, and project team, the lift was successfully completed, marking a significant construction milestone for the project.

We are excited to share the revitalization of Edmonton's downtown Michael Phair Park and Beaver Hills House Park. Once separated by a central alleyway, the two parks have been reimagined as one connected, vibrant public space.

Beaver Hills House Park received a complete transformation, with the site fully demolished and rebuilt. New features include a washroom facility, an updated Aboriginal Walk of Honour, a natural gas fire feature, seating walls, and custom playground elements. At the heart of the park is a new amphitheatre, along with a pet relief area, public bouldering wall, and children's play space featuring a climbable beaver that pays tribute to the park's name.

At Michael Phair Park, the original character of the space was preserved and enhanced through the addition of a busker stage, expanded seating areas, refreshed landscaping, and upgraded park lighting.

Working in a high-traffic downtown environment presented unique challenges. Our team worked closely with the City of Edmonton - Local Government and Edmonton Transit Service - ETS to minimize disruptions to traffic throughout construction.

It has been an honour to help revitalize these beloved spaces, and we look forward to the impact they will have on their community.

Our team joined our partners and the Vulcan community to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new seniors lodge for the Marquis Foundation.

Replacing the Peter Dawson Lodge, which has served the community since 1963, the new facility will provide 62 new units designed to support seniors in aging in place. The three-storey development will offer a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom suites, creating a welcoming and accessible place for residents to call home.

Jensen takes us behind the scenes of the renovations underway at the Edmonton Humane Society, where our team is helping create more comfortable spaces for animals as they wait to find their forever homes.

Upgrades include improved dog life rooms that provide greater privacy for dogs in care, refreshed cat chalets with access to outdoor catios, and a dedicated kitten gallery designed to create a calmer environment. Public areas are also being refreshed to enhance the visitor experience.

Throughout construction, our team is taking extra precautions to protect the health and well-being of both people and animals while ensuring the facility remains operational.

We're proud to be supporting the EHS both through this renovation project and as one of our Edmonton Chandos Gives charity partners.

The Learning Gardens at Britannia Community Services Centre are getting a facelift thanks to the efforts of our Vancouver district through Chandos Gives.

Using materials donated by trade partners, we set off to recreate the existing garden signage with a fresh artistic spin. Creating the new signs have been a true team effort, with employees from across our site, yard, and office teams coming together.

The Learning Gardens are part of the Grandview Woodland Food Connection, bringing people together through hands-on food-growing experience while supporting a food program that serves the community, with a focus on underserved and low-income residents.

This project would not have been possible without the support of our partners at Dick's Lumber, YSB Project Consultants, our team at First and Clarke, the Chandos Vancouver Yard team, and all of the staff who contributed their time and talent to bring these signs to life.

Our Toronto team kicked off Giving Week with a lunch alongside Bryan and Amanda Bickell, where we presented a cheque for $56,245 raised through the 2026 Golf Fore a Cause Charity Tournament in support of the Bryan & Amanda Bickell Foundation.

The Foundation supports individuals and families living with multiple sclerosis (MS), raising awareness, providing support, and working toward the creation of Bickell's Point, a restorative retreat for families navigating the challenges of the condition.

We're proud to help advance this work and support the Foundation's mission to make a meaningful difference for people affected by MS.

As we celebrate Giving Week, we're highlighting the initiatives that help strengthen our communities, including our Edmonton team's second annual Sporting Shoot Fundraiser at Beaverhill Sporting Clays in support of the Edmonton's Food Bank and the Bridge Healing Program with the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation.

Thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers, employees, sponsors, and industry partners, the event was a huge success. Together, we raised $125,000 for organizations creating meaningful impact across the Edmonton region.

The doors are officially open at the Lets’emό:t Regional Recreation and Aquatic Centre in the District of Kent.

Replacing the Ferny Coombe Outdoor Pool, which served the community for more than four decades, the new year-round aquatic centre creates new opportunities for recreation in the area.

Named Lets’emó:t, meaning "one heart, one mind" in Halq'eméylem, the facility reflects a vision for a space that brings people together. The centre features an eight-lane lap pool, leisure pool with a lazy river, whirlpool, steam room, sauna, community spaces, and enhanced accessibility features throughout.

Thank you to our dedicated employees, project partners, and the community for their patience and support throughout the project. And, as every pool builder knows, no aquatic centre is truly complete until the project team takes the first plunge.
