Meet Jake 👋
Born and raised on the north side of Edmonton, Jake brings a strong work ethic and team first mindset to everything he does. As a first year apprentice, he is all about learning, growing, and getting hands on, something that first drew him to the trades.
Before construction, Jake was on a path toward law enforcement, gaining real world experience working security in downtown Edmonton. That time sharpened his communication skills and sense of responsibility, both of which he brings to site every day.
What stood out about Effect? The people. A solid reputation and a team that genuinely supports each other made it an easy choice.
Jake takes pride in doing things right and loves working with wood, watching a home come together piece by piece. For him, a great home is one that is built to last, something families can rely on and create memories in for years to come.
Outside of work, you will find him with his dogs and cats, exploring with his partner, tackling DIY projects, or building Lego.
Fun fact: Jake has a knack for finding great deals on tools, fixing them up, and sometimes even flipping them.
