Deck season is far from over!

This one is an ideal size to compliment the back yard and accommodate comfortable seating. A gas line for the barbecue is ready right outside the kitchen, as it should be.

The best part is the maintenance-free composite material used to build it. Made by Fiberon Composite Decking, it uses a combination of recycled wood (sawdust and mill discards) and recycled plastic that will last at least three times longer than traditional wood boards.

"Shignanski completed our recent renovation which included removing walls, reconfiguring the kitchen, removing and replacing windows and entry doors as well as changing the siding on the house.

We were very impressed with the professionalism from start to finish of our project. So many places to enjoy hot, summer days at this beautiful home we built in a new development in northeast Edmonton.

It's international dog day! And, we're being blessed with some gorgeous dog days of summer — a perfect opportunity to celebrate our clients and all their amazing pups we meet on job sites.

These two made sure to greet the crew every time we arrived, and loved escorting us up the grand staircase to the ensuite space we renovated. A little highlight to the work days.

A dream space is unique to each of us, and we listen to what a client wants to ensure we're delivering their dream space.

This client wanted colour, and they got it in this extensive closet. We paired the bold red they wanted with light blond cabinet doors for balance and contrast.

Shignanski owner Justin Shighiro and his team recently toured McLeod Windows and Doors' new manufacturing plant in north Edmonton.

The two companies have had a good working relationship for more than a decade. Being able to see the product you use being made, and talk face-to-face with the people who make it, ensures a high degree of reliability of quality and supply. A dark and steamy retreat.

This ensuite had a complete overhaul, and while the room is mostly light and bright, this shower has all kinds of moody, dynamic depth.

A perfectly-positioned bench, rain and handheld shower heads, contrasting nook with modern vertical tiles, and a glass front with sealing door to keep things steamy — what more could you ask for?

Concrete is fussy about the weather, but this week gave us a beautiful day for a pad pour!

Our client's joining others in the older areas of Sherwood Park who've added a garage onto the front of their houses and tied it into the signature skinny driveways stretching from the front street to the back yard.

Some spaces are more useful than others, and most people prefer to maximize their back yards. Swapping a standalone garage in the back for an attached garage conveniently nestled in front is becoming more and more popular, and it makes a lot of sense (who doesn't want to pop straight in the house in the dead of winter?!)

This addition still needs some work, but getting the pad down is a huge step forward — stay tune for the finished job!
