Instead of just taping the ceiling back together, we decided to cut in a fresh sheet of drywall to really strengthen that location.

In a deck repair we completed today, we found a prime example to showcase deck rot. The first place a deck frame will rot is the top of your framing! Water will collect on top and between the layers.

The solution? Timmerman uses Asphalt tape on every single deck we build to ensure your deck lasts as long as possible!

It’s important to maintain the silicone around your tub surround, as well as at the bottom of the tub against the flooring. This keeps the water where it’s supposed to be, instead of creating mold behind your drywall!

Here is the #1 Barn Door FAQ we get asked!

Q. Do you need to install the door into wood?

A. YES! If apart of a larger renovation, we will often remove drywall and add framing to accommodate the new door.

In the case of the door pictured, this wasn’t an option. So instead, we added a clean piece of wood on top of the drywall which we fastened to the studs, and then installed the rail onto that wood. A couple coats of paint and VOILA!
