Large Elm pruning in Lauderdale. Elm pruning season is coming to an end (Oct 1 - March 31). This is to prevent the spread of Dutch Elm Disease (DED) by pruning only during the dormant season when the elm bark beetles that spread the disease aren’t active. Fines range from $250-$10,000 for pruning elms off season, so make sure you take care of your elm pruning now.
