Edmonton architecture has its own edge, and this project was designed to lean into it.
I shaped the massing and material palette as a direct response to place and climate. Galvalume metal panels form the backbone of the facade, paired with cement fibre shakes to introduce texture, scale, and variation without excess. Each material was chosen to age well and to read differently as light moves across the building.
Trellis elements were integrated to add depth and shadow, breaking down the volume and moderating sun exposure. Nothing here is decorative. Every decision is deliberate.
Grounded, durable, and unmistakably Edmonton.
