Strawberries? Anyone like strawberries?
I am growing an adorable alpine strawberry which is perfect for containers (or gardens). It doesn't throw runners and grows into a perfect mound with little, nibble-sized strawberries right up until frost. If it is mulched well in the fall, it can come back in the spring.
I'm also growing Kent strawberries, which produce huge, sweet strawberries in late June/early July. Perfect for a berry garden, these strawberries produce an abundance on runners in late summer to keep perpetuating your strawberry patch.

Hello all! Happy Gardening Season! I am super excited to be back in the dirt and tending the little green plant babies that are in need of new homes. If you are interested in taking a look at what I have available this year, I'm going to try to attach a file that has pretty much everything I'm growing. If my technical know-how comes up short, I shall post a plethora of individual pics.
Please message me with any questions you might have about gardening, plants, native plants, or anything else (except quantum physics - still can't quite wrap my head around that one).

Tall Meadow-Rue is a majestic perennial that is native to Alberta. It can grow from 3-5 feet tall and works as a wonderful background plant or up against a fence. Both the lobed leaves and the lacy white flowers of this plant help create an interesting focal point in any flower bed. Tall meadow-rue loves moist loamy sandy soil in full sun, but will tolerate partial shade. Let me know if tall meadow-rue might work in your yard or garden.

Low Goldenrod blooms in summer through fall. An Alberta native plant, it grows up to 24" tall in full sun. It can tolerate medium dry to dry soil. Bees and butterfly larva love goldenrod. Unlike many Alberta native plants, Low Goldenrod will bloom during its first year of growth. Please let me know if you interested in adding low goldenrod to your garden.

Prairie Smoke is also known as Three-Flowered Avens. An Alberta native, this 8" tall plant loves dry, sandy soil and bright sun. Prairie Smoke sends up pink bell-shaped nodding blooms in May to early July. These blooms transform into feather, smokey seed heads that persist well into the autumn. Prairie Smoke will begin blooming after the first year of growth. Please message me if you are interested in this very cool little plant for your yard.

Giant Hyssop will grow to about 30" tall at maturity and often blooms in its first year. It performs well in full sun as well as full shade. Giant hyssop will grow happily in both dry and moist soils once it is established. The light purple flowers are much loved by bees. Please message me if you would like to add some to your garden.
