After an extremely wet and tough spring (and early summer let's be honest) my sweet peas are starting to bloom 🤩 I love growing sweet peas. They're so nostalgic, they smell delightful, and they thrive in cooler weather conditions like those characteristic of spring in Edmonton. I usually start my sweet peas from seed in Feb or March and then let them sit on a chilly windowsill until they can be transplanted outside. I've found when I do that that they branch magnificently right from the soil level. More vines = more flowers.

Speaking of more flowers, if your sweet peas are beginning to bloom and you want them to keep going, cut them!! If the blooms are left on the plant to go to seed you'll get fewer flowers overall. So gift yourself a sweet lil bouquet on the regular and keep the flowers coming. 💐

Yeeeeehaw! 🤠 The details on this ceramic cowboy boot are unreal. It's marked 1985 on the bottom and it just might be the perfect piece to "kick" off Stampede?! lol 🤠🐎 thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.

Well Edmonton, it's another rainy weekend! 💧💧💧 I went to the garden this morning and got SWARMED by mosquitoes. So houseplants it is! Sky blue daffodils, a vintage tea canister, and some red florals 🌹🥀
5 + 6: Our head camper van driver (Niskimin, of course)
7 + 8 + 9: A few shots of the happiest part of my garden: the pond corner and the alpine strawberries i planted last year that came up BEAUTIFULLY and have been thriving in this weather 🍓 (I still have some for sale, let me know if you need a few!)

The cat illustrations are from a book published in 1989, which means that at least 37 years ago multiple people decided that no, one cat collage is not enough, there must be at least two. And I think that's a wonderful thing. 🐈🐈‍⬛️✨️🌵🏜🐘🧸
