Green hills…deep valleys…wide oceans… Somehow, of all this came a sneaking suspicion that the beautiful and the lovely were not only for days that “deserved” them (birthdays, weddings, anniversaries) but for ordinary times. Thus began the journey of crafting things of quality and excellence but also of usefulness and “useable-ness.” Because a thing that is beautiful only is but half-blessed, but

a thing of both beauty and usefulness is twice-blessed indeed! So it is with our crafting and spinning and making: striving always to work loveliness into things that can be used every ordinary day.

This is the last post we will be posting on Instagram. We were super excited to have reached 200 sales last week—this is a great milestone to end on! Tomorrow the shop will be closed and you will no longer be able to make purchases on Etsy.

What happens now?

Now it is time for you to bear the flame. Take what we have taught you and share it with those around you. Let your life become a testament to the truth that beauty is possible. Rest assured that although Aval House is no longer a storefront, we are still maintaining our commitment to beauty and excellence throughout our lives. You are not alone!

Aval House closes tomorrow! However, we will still be cultivating beauty in our everyday lives, and we hope you will too! There are a couple shops we love that we’d like to share with you. We are in the final week! Our 65% off sale will continue until Friday, May 31st. After May 31st, Aval House will be closed and we will begin the process of shutting down the shop, closing our Instagram account, and taking down our website.
