The 4-H Canadian Foundation is an outstanding organization striving to empower young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime.

Duraguard was pleased to support the Lac Ste. Anne 4-H club, and specifically Whitney Van De Ligt by purchasing her steer at the recent achievement day. When we asked her parents for permission to post Whitney‘s newspaper picture and thank you card on Duraguard‘s social media accounts, mom sent a photo of Whitney and her steer Liam. Is this not the most adorable pair? Do we feel guilty for planning a team barbeque with Liam as the guest of honor? Yes we do!

And just to make this a fencing related post, notice the fence panels in the photo? Duraguard fence has construction panels available for rent and would be happy to fill your short or long-term temporary fencing needs.

July 13, 1992 - August 4, 2024

How do you say farewell to an individual who has been a respected and admired part of the Duraguard Fence Team and the Edmonton fencing community for nearly ten years.
Samir, you were a good friend within our family of fencers and a key and valued member of Duraguard Fence.
Fencing tools and equipment rested in quiet respect as we joined together for a time of remembering you and sharing our memories of you. Anecdotes that revealed your passion for excellence in life and work, your self-discipline, your larger-than-life presence and your sense of humour. As the stories unfolded and as memories of you were shared, we found ourselves smiling in the midst of our sorrow. Together we honoured and acknowledged the impact you have had on our lives and the void your absence will have in the days and years to come.
Samir, there were friends yet to be made, adventures to experience, a wife to grow old with, a son to nurture into a man, and fences yet to be installed.
Farewell friend, you will be missed.
