Same layout. A completely different kitchen.

The Wildrose project is finished. The footprint already worked, so we left it alone and put the budget where it shows: new cabinetry and new countertops throughout. Not one wall moved, and it looks nothing like the kitchen we started with.

If your kitchen works but looks dated, it may only need what this one got. Send us a message when you’re ready to talk it through.

“We can host close to 40 people in here now.” That’s how the owner described the finished main floor.

The Nottingham project in Sherwood Park is complete. The wall between the kitchen and living room came down, the pantry came out, and the two-piece bath became a three-piece. If you’ve followed along since demo day in July, you’ve seen every stage, from the ceiling rebuilt where the wall used to stand to the bathroom mistake that ended up as a better shelf.

Thank you to the trades who helped bring it home. Their work is all over this project:

Matthew Stein built the beams and posts (and did an incredible job!)
Dmitrii Botezatu, owner of 888 Flooring (888-flooring.com), did every piece of the tile work himself.
Kitchen Craft Store Edmonton for the cabinets
Yaz Painting & Reno LTD for painting

Josh is neurodiverse, and so are his kids. He knows firsthand that a bedroom designed for a neurodiverse kid takes a little more understanding.

Some kids need more movement and sensory input to feel settled at home. That can look like monkey bars across the ceiling, a climbing wall, or a swing chair hung from above. The fun part is what you see. The part that keeps it safe is hidden: blocking between the joists, anchors rated for a child’s full weight in motion, and framing planned around that load before the drywall ever goes up.

We build these rooms the way Josh would want them built for his own kids.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Bespoke.

This year, a lot of you let us into your homes, and we don’t take that lightly. Thank you for trusting us with your kitchens, your bathrooms and your basements, and for passing our name along to the people you care about.

However you’re spending the long weekend, we hope there’s a good meal, a full table, and a kitchen with room for everyone. 💜

Before you put your name behind a referral, you need to know the person behind the work.

Outside of Bespoke, Josh co-founded ABLE, the Alliance of Builders, Leaders and Entrepreneurs, with Dan Daniel Swanston . They started it because they saw a gap in the industry. People in trades, real estate and business pass each other’s names along all the time without ever really knowing who they’re vouching for. ABLE exists so they can.

On Wednesday, October 14, ABLE is holding an open house. If you work in the trades or real estate, or run a business in Edmonton or the surrounding area, you’re invited.

You've met Josh in the walkthroughs. This is Jason, his twin and the other half of Bespoke.

Jason keeps every project moving. He coordinates the trades and the schedule, handles communication, and answers client questions along the way. At the end of each stage he checks that the work is where it should be and that you know exactly where things stand. A renovation has a lot of moving parts, and he's the reason you're never left guessing about any of them.

You'll meet both brothers on your project. When the person answering your questions is part of the family running the business, it shows, and it's a big part of why clients keep coming back.

Great question. We’re still working on our answer.

So far we’ve got walls coming down, kitchen, basement, bathroom, and whole home renovations from start to finish, and the odd mistake we’ll actually admit to on camera. All in real homes around Edmonton and Sherwood Park, mess included.

Got a room you’ve been side-eyeing for years? Follow along and borrow some ideas.

👀 Got one you think is too complicated? Even better. Send it our way.

We take pride in our work, and our team.

“Who does that?” our client asked. “The communication at every step, the vendors who actually took care of our home.” The honest answer is that this is just how we run a renovation.

Open communication, transparency, and showing up reliably aren’t extras we advertise. They’re the reason clients hand our name to their friends and family. When someone refers us, they’re putting their own reputation on the line, and they only do that because they know the people they send us will be looked after from the first day to the last. A referral is the highest bar a renovation contractor can clear, and it’s the one we build for.

Anyone can win a job. Being the name a past client trusts enough to pass along is the harder thing, and the one we’re proud of.
