We are happy to announce that our "I'm Dreaming of a Christmas Concert" is planned for Friday Dec, 12, 2025 at the the WEDS hall in Dutton. Our special musical guests are Stevie's Sliders, which is a trombone ensemble. As always the cost of tickets is FREE but a donation would be appreciated. It is shaping up to be a fun evening of music and singing some Christmas favorites.

Our new season has begun! Now would be a great time to jump in. This year we are looking to build on the renewal year we had last year after our extended covid hiatus. We are a looking for new members on all of the instruments so if you, or someone you know, plays a woodwind/brass instrument we would love to have you come and join us. Also if you know of a student looking for the necessary volunteer hours coming to band qualifies. Any questions or comments please message us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

On Monday June 10 we will be doing a special performance at the Dutton-Dunwich Public School. We have been rehearsing in the music room there for the past year and the music teacher there asked us to play for them. We will be performing a number of our pieces from the concert on June 14 and the junior band there will play a couple of the pieces that they have been working on this year and then we will play a couple of pieces together. We look forward to spending some time with the students and encouraging them to pursue music in the future.

Our Special musical guests for our concert on June 14 are the Barclay Road Brassworks. Eight alumni of Henry Meredith’s famous Plumbing Factory Brass Band formed the Brassworks in 2019. A unique and flexible ensemble, they play a wide variety of music: from covers of pop and jazz charts, to mostly their own arrangements (often tongue-in-cheek) of the classics from the 16th century to the present day, to original compositions written by and for them. While they’re partial to the mellow sound of the tuba family, most of them play several instruments--including toy percussion and whistles, as required.
