We’re excited to share our current design-build project- a custom ICF home in the Cowichan Valley. With construction underway, the spaces are beginning to take shape. This is where we can start to get a sense of the home and how it feels to move through it.

There are not a lot of things that have as much impact on a home as the windows. From the outside, they provide character and balance in the home's design. From the inside, they provide light and a framed view of the outside world. And not to underestimate it's value as part of the building envelope, the window must also be well built and efficient, providing a barrier to the elements and an opening for fresh air when desired. When done well, windows serve as art, becoming either the focus or the backdrop of a beautiful space.

On this project we worked with Thermoproof Windows to create exactly what we wanted. They were able to meet our every request as we created a customized design for each window, perfectly suited to each room and tying the elements of the design together. We are incredibly happy with the results, and cannot thank them enough for their contribution to this project.

Over the past year, we have worked closely with our clients to design their perfect family home. They had long been dreaming of a modern, west-coast design with Scandinavian and Japanese influences- a challenge we were happy to accept. This past month we finalized the plans for a home that is everything they wanted. The design is uniquely theirs, perfectly suited to their property and their lifestyle. We cannot wait to bring this project to life.

Rendering vs. Reality! We really enjoyed working with our clients to create this kitchen. Their choices were fun and bold, and they were fabulous to work with, from start to finish. The space is bright, full of character and exceedingly functional.

Recently had a photo and interview session with two wonderful people, our clients and friends, Maria Mihok and Dan Brochu.
