Just a September 2025 update, I am no longer doing all landscaping services. I only do pruning, specializing in fruit tree pruning. My teenage son does some lawns and clean up, if you need that, he may be able to help out. Hope everyone had a great summer and I’m looking forward to the fall and much cooler weather.

Well life keeps lifeing. With a heavy heart I must announce a pause in handy Mandy until late winter/early spring of 2025. I’ve been sick 2 out of the last four months, right now with pneumonia. There is a lot going on with my family as well, including my 91 year old grandmother, where I need to be present and healthy for. I’m still also working hard in environmental protection. So it’s not goodbye, just see ya later while I focus on my family ❤️

I like to encourage people to use compost/manure with mulch on top to: prevent the use of environmentally damaging fertilizer, promote long term soil health, reduce watering and it looks soooooo nice!

Something else we do, pressure washing. The before and after with pressure washing is super satisfying.

My exciting news!!!! The newest member to the team! Brooke Helena joins the fun and games with Handy Mandy's Gardening and Landscaping!!!! Brooke works ridiculously hard, is really kind and patient, and is a treat to work with❤️ I am so grateful for her!

One of my clients was going to throw out her grandson’s wagon, but I convinced her to let me turn it into a planter. I drilled a ton of holes for drainage, added a layer of gravel, then a mix of grit/perolite/potting soil and planted succulents and sedums. It turned out great and should fill in nicely this summer. I decided to go with something drought tolerant since watering this planter would be a pain.
