Not all renovations are flashy, but they can be transformative!

At Vesta Custom Design, we know that sometimes the most important upgrades are the ones you don’t see. In this cozy 1960s bungalow, we did some upgrades behind the scenes. We removed the interior walls and upgraded the insulation in the exterior walls, bringing this home up to modern energy efficiency standards.

As families grow and evolve, so do their needs, and the home that once suited your family can start to feel out of sync with your current lifestyle. This is especially true when children reach their late teens, like the family in one of our recent Vesta Custom Design projects. They decided it was time to update their early 2000s builder-grade home to better reflect their more mature tastes and the changing needs of their growing children. Zaha Hadid (1950-2016) was an Iraqi-British architect known for her groundbreaking and innovative designs. Her work is characterized by fluid forms and the use of cutting-edge technology and materials, earning her numerous awards and recognition, including the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004, becoming the first woman to receive this honor. Some of her most famous works include the London Aquatics Centre, the Guangzhou Opera House, and the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku.
