Recently Pay Line got the privilege of coming back to where it all began in the winter of 2020.
A quick back story going back to the summer of 2020. Koaye and I were both working full time jobs and fresh outta school, we had no idea what we were doing and were struggling to make ends meet. I always had an interest in trucking since I was a little kid, but had no idea where to start. Then in October of 2020 Steve (my Dad) told me about this opportunity we could have in BC, but it required we drop everything and start now.
In a matter of a week I quit my job that I had been at since I was 15 and somehow convinced Koaye that me leaving to work remotely on something I knew nothing about, was the best decision for our future.
We worked that winter and learned so much. I got home about a month later and we both realized the opportunity that lay in-front of us. Koaye jumped in head first with me, shortly after she quit her job as well and we both moved to Drayton valley.
Over the years Pay Line has accomplished more than I could have ever thought was possible. Thus being a real testament to a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck you can accomplish anything. I wanna do a special thank you to my Dad. None of this would have been possible without him. He taught me everything I know about keeping the trucks running, making important connections both with employees and bosses as well as keeping the jobs running smoothly. Without the opportunity and knowledge he gave me, we would have never started the companyโฆ let alone be where we are now.
I also wanna give a special shout out to my wife. She is the one that gave me courage, confidence and a reason to get up and try every day. She has stood by my side through the good and bad times. She took a huge risk moving 4 hours away from where she grew up quitting school and her job to help me chase the idea of someday owning a company. She is now a wonderful stay at home mom to my two beautiful daughters. She keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes which might seem like an easy task, but rest assured itโs not.
I also wanna say a special thank you to all of our employees, many who have turned into friends over the years. Without all your hard work, sacrifices and dedication we would have never pulled off the jobs we did.
Thank you to all friends and family who have helped support us along the way. We canโt wait to see what the future holds for us at Pay Line Contracting.
