This 1908 apartment complex property has been officially deemed as a protected historical building by the City Of Winnipeg, without question our Client Bosk Construction was called in to completely tear down, build up, and restore the property to an updated, renovated and modernized building that will stand the test of time and tell its story at the same time!
What is our hand in all this?
We are excited to be chosen to perform our preferred standard of expertise in the following work scopes:
Project management/identification of all environmental hazards in the project including but not limited to mold, asbestos, lead, silica dust, etc. Furthermore providing safe work procedures and practices to protect all and creating safe work plans to combat, eliminate and dispose of so in the most effective and environmentally friendly manner possible.
Selective demolition and disposal/recycling of all interior suite finishes, non load bearing walls, materials/debris not suitable for today’s construction standards, kitchens, bathrooms and floor coverings in their entirety. Removing the original plank subfloor undamaged and intact.
All plumbing and utilities rough-ins including ceiling/flooring removal and disposal paired with an extremely large amount of concrete cutting, hammering and removal in the buildings basement.
Bringing the entire building’s basement grade down to a common level, once achieved our crew throw the water and packers on this grade to pack to a material density of 92 at minimum. This grading has all been performed by our hard working crew by hand with laser level precision and a fine eye! In total we will be removing about grade 1.5 meters of hard to remove material containing old brick, pipe, gravel, concrete, wood and will all be recycled once excavated from the project!
Removal of all aged, cracking, deteriorating, etc plaster in the interior of the building, performing this with the technique and expertise to leave the original lath wood slats intact, undamaged and ready for drywall boarding once completed!
Complete selective removal of all existing piping, radiators, and utilities (all cast iron water, sewer and vent pipe) to make room for all brand new being Installed throughout the property.
Complete selective removal of all existing k**b and tube electrical system, to make room for all brand new wiring to be Installed throughout the property.
