Practice sketching with a pen. I rarely draw with pens but a fun exercise and a test of patience. Not highly skilled with this technique (cross hatchings are too random, but still happy that I didn't give up and Finished it. lol)
Art doesn't have to be perfect to be benficial to developing drawing skills and of course mindfulness.

When I host a 2.5h paint class, I really have to paint extra fast. Sometimes I end up with more paint on myself than my canvas. Lol. I do like the challenge though as I am naturally a slow painter. But mostly, I enjoy sharing the joy of painting with others.
So this painting, once home, I enjoyed taking an extra hour to go over missed spots and also add a bit more depth.
I am still not tired of painting dragonflies @
