South Delta Garden Club

South Delta Garden Club The South Delta Garden Club was established in 1952 (formally known as The Evergreen Garden Club). It has grown to around 205 members. Meeting starts at 730pm.

We are all passionate about gardening and love to share our knowledge with others. South Delta Garden Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month at Ladner Christian Reformed Church,4594 54A street, Ladner. Visitors and new members are always welcome. For more information email [email protected]

DEADHEADING!! do it now, do it often!
Deadheading will encourage another flush of flowers (in many flowering perennials and annuals) and direct valuable energy away from seed production.
This geranium sanguineum album is blooming it's heart out and weaving through the garden.
By removing this handful of future seeds we hope to see flowers through the summer!

Come the fall let those seeds set for the birds, future plants and sharing with your garden club friends 😉🤍💮🌱☀️

Starting tomorrow!

Metro Vancouver has announced region-wide Stage 3 Water Restrictions effective June 8. Here's what to know in Stage 3:

🚫 Lawn watering is still not permitted
🌳 Trees, shrubs and flowers can be watered any time using a container, drip irrigation, or a hose with a spring-loaded nozzle (no sprinklers or soaker hoses)
🥕 Vegetable gardens can be watered any time
🏊 No filling or topping up of pools, hot tubs, and water features
🚗 No washing of vehicles or boats at home (except spot cleaning for safety)
