We sat down with several of our community partners to learn more about the impact they’re making across Atlantic Canada. From supporting youth and families, to advancing healthcare, promoting workplace safety, and developing the next generation of skilled trades professionals, each organization plays an important role in strengthening our communities.

We’re proud to support the important work of First Tee, Make-A-Wish Canada, Chisholm Services for Children, Threads of Life, Skills Canada Nova Scotia, the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation, and IWK Health.

Together, we’re helping create opportunities, build connections, and make a positive impact across Atlantic Canada.

Progress is taking shape at Foyer Père Fiset in Chéticamp, Cape Breton. 🏗️

This 66,000 sq. ft., 72-bed long-term care facility is designed with a central services level connected to the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, along with three residential wings to support patient care.

Early work focused on site access, approvals, and coordination with neighbouring properties, including the church and hospital. Unique elements like relocating the helicopter pad and designing for coastal winds up to 250 km/h have helped shape the build.

We’ve remained closely connected to the community throughout, supporting local businesses, working with local suppliers, and welcoming visitors to site.

Currently on track for completion in Summer 2027.

We were pleased to be host sponsor for this week’s Halifax Chamber of Commerce luncheon, featuring David Benoit, CEO of Build Nova Scotia.

It was an engaging discussion on the future of infrastructure, city-building, and the role of strategic investment in shaping stronger, more connected communities across Nova Scotia. We are proud to support conversations that bring industry, government, and community leaders together and to play a role in building what’s next.

Best Street is well underway. 🏗️

Building A is rising with 33 residential floors, 348 units, and two levels of underground parking as part of the Manga Hotel Group development. Sub-structure is complete, and super-structure formwork is actively in progress.

The coming months will bring tower formwork, window installation, hoist setup, and the start of interior finishes.

We’re proud to be part of a project that will add new homes to the community.

Our team recently met with site leads at PL Healthcare Partners to plan upcoming Industry and Community Engagement activities. By opening doors to the construction industry, we’re creating meaningful pathways for community members to explore careers in the skilled trades.

Last week, we hosted a subtrade event on site at the Chisholm House to introduce our trades team to the mission behind the build at Chisholm Services for Children.

Chisholm Services has been guiding children and families toward brighter futures for years, and this project is an opportunity for our team to be part of that work in a meaningful way.

We won! 🫀

Our team won St. John Ambulance’s annual AED draw: a Stryker LIFEPAK CR2 AED. It’s already on-site and ready to go.

As Heart Month wraps up, it’s a good reminder that safety gear isn’t just hard hats and steel-toes. This equipment could save someone’s life, and we’re grateful to have it.

Thanks, St. John Ambulance, for keeping Atlantic Canada worksites safer.

Connecting with skilled professionals and students is an important part of our work.

We’re looking forward to attending the CANS Career Fair on February 4th from 1–5 PM at the Cedar Event Centre. This event is a great opportunity to connect with experienced professionals and students interested in a career in construction.

We’re currently seeking project managers with experience in defence, as well as backgrounds in healthcare, education, multi-residential, or light industrial projects. We’re also looking to connect with project coordinators, project engineers, junior estimators, and students interested in summer co-op and internship opportunities.
