Poly B pipe was manufactured around 1975 and after quite some time it was banned or discontinued around 1998. Around 2005, Poly B was totally removed from the standard plumbing code of Canada. Despite the popularity of Poly B piping, why was it removed?

Poly B pipe is very flexible, easy to install, and low cost. The composition of Poly B piping is made up of plastic resin and it was an alternative to copper piping due to its high cost.

In 2025 we are approaching the peak of the poly B dexterity, and a failure of the piping material is fast approaching. AMR Plumbing and Gas Ltd. are happy to provide a thorough assessment while also providing project completion which includes professional drywall repairs as necessary.

It's been a little while since our last update – we've been keeping busy with various renovation projects! Here's a look at a recent one our team completed. We're happy to share as much detail about the process as the client is comfortable with. For this particular renovation, the customer opted to handle the shelving, painting, and trim work themselves. We were pleased to take care of the framing, plumbing, drywall installation, mudding and sanding, glass installation, as well as the tub and surround.
