This overgrown garden was in definite need of some attention! We repurposed and set these incredible pieces of heavy slate to create an inviting pathway to the existing pond that was home to goldfish and red legged frogs. The Mahonia, Ribes and native sedge grasses were very happy where they were so we just added some shade lovers to compliment them. We hope the home owners and the pond visitors will enjoy it for years to come.

A serene woodland garden featuring a willow screen, Japanese Maples, and shade-loving perennials. This property adjoins a nature park and we were thrilled to incorporate trilliums, sword ferns, wild geranium, and Hooker’s fairy bells that had naturalized under the fence into the plan.

We spent part of the day removing landscape fabric and rubber mulch from a garden bed. This was a first for me and I’m still in awe that this ā€˜mulch’ even exists. The soil below was very dry and depleted so we’ll be restoring it with a fresh layer of compost.
