Happy WET Wednesday everyone. Just a friendly reminder to check those sump pumps. Make sure they are functions and the floating device is not stuck. This is of utmost importance to prevent water build up in your basement. Also make sure breaker is on and if no power consider getting a battery backup to run sump pump in the off chance your power is out. Have a great day and stay dry.

With all the snow we now have as you clean your driveway and walk way remember to keep all of these utilities and vents clear of snow. A blocked vent will not allow them to exhaust properly.
Please check yours and any neighbors that may need assistance.
Look all around your home as they Will/May not be next each other and most likely are on different sides of the house.

Good morning from the Bayside Homes Team. We just wanted to do a quick reminder to check your sump pumps today. We are hitting high rainfalls today in an unusual event for this time of year. Make sure your sump pumps in your basement are plugged in and breakers aren't tripped. This will ensure any water accumulating will be taken away from the house and into the storm sewer. Good afternoon everyone. Just wanted to let our clients know with the cold weather coming the importance of turning off your outside tap and draining it. The area circled is where the frost bib is to prevent the water from bursting inside your basement. If water stays inside the metal pipe that is where it can burst and cause water issues. If the water is shut off and drained from the metal pipe the nut that you see seals if freezing occurs and prevents water from spraying out. With the colder weather approacing it is best practice to unhook your hoses and turn off water supply from your house to the tap and drain whats left in it. This saves alot of headache and money if this is done in a timely manner before below 0 weather settles in. I hope this helps and enjoy the rest of your day.

Good morning everyone, as stated a couple of weeks ago, we have a BIG development coming up and we are SOOOOO EXCITED to share it with you. In Windsor Ontario, we are working on developing a rental community to provide more housing for the city's people. The units have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main floor and basement with and additional backyard unit that is 1 bedroom 1 bathroom and grade level to accomodate senior citizens. We are hoping to be able to house a mix of families and senior citizens in this area, as it is close to transportation and many amenities. We have officially broken ground on our first unit with more to follow very soon. The timeline for rentals will hopefully be late summer move-ins. We at Bayside Homes Limited want to thank our partners, who have worked tirelessly to put this project in motion. Without them, this wouldn’t have been as successful as it is. We would like to give a big shout-out to Mark Kopcok of Remax Preferred Realty, Mike Seal at Remax Preferred Realty, Julia Mcclelland at Bob Pedler Real Estate Brokerage, as well as the City of Windsor for helping us make this happen. They have shown much interest in trying to get more units in the ground for people of the city to help with the housing shortage.
