Job Title: Carpenter Apprentice
Location: Cornwall and surrounding area

About Us: We are a small, dedicated interior renovation business seeking a motivated and enthusiastic apprentice to join our team. With a Red Seal in Carpentry, we pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship and professionalism.
Position Overview: This is an entry-level position. As a Level 1 Apprentice Carpenter, you will have the unique opportunity to enroll in the apprenticeship program, gaining hands-on experience while working under the supervision of an experienced carpenter. The program takes approximately 4 years to complete, including three 2-month stints of schooling paid for by the employer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in interior renovation projects
- Learn carpentry skills and techniques
- Follow safety protocols and practices
- Collaborate effectively with the team
- Complete tasks as directed by the carpenter
Qualifications:
- Must be new to the trade, with a desire to learn and grow in carpentry
- Desire to enroll in the apprenticeship program
- Own a complete tool belt with basic tools
- Have adequate work boots and safety glasses
- Possess a working vehicle for transportation
- Willing to work some weekends
- Able to commit to 20-40 hours a week (varies)
Compensation: Starting pay rate of $18/hour with pay raises for each level of apprenticeship progression (approximately annually).
