❗️Customer Alert - Phone SCAM warning❗️
We have been made aware of a phone scam where callers are impersonating Casey Mechanical Inc.
A customer has recently received a phone call that displayed "Casey Mechanical" on their caller ID. After answering, they heard an automated message asking them to press 1 to speak with us. Once they did, the caller claimed to be from Casey Mechanical and attempted to schedule a service appointment. The phone number the call came from was 613-938-3644 - this is not our phone number!
This call did NOT come from us.
Please be aware:
- We do not use automated phone messages asking you to press a number to speak with us.
- If you ever receive a call that seems suspicious, hang up and contact us directly using the phone number listed on our website or your invoice.
- Never provide personal or financial information if you are unsure who you are speaking with or if they are creating a sense of urgency to pay or prepay for our services.
Unfortunately, scammers can "spoof" caller ID, making it appear as though a call is coming from a legitimate business- even then it isn't.
Thank you to the customer who contacted us right away so we could investigate and report the incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
